Ordering Instructions

Ordering from us is really quite easy.  You need only to follow the following simple steps and you will receive a reply within 24 hours of your request.

1) Find the book you want.

You may search the database by category, author, ISBN, title, publisher, or keyword.

Each book is noted by an Item Number to eliminate any problems with locating the proper item.

 

2) Email us you request.

Because of the nature of the vintage book business, we work on an email basis.  In several cases we may have only one copy of a particular book/item.  It is important the we are able to maintain proper inventories, an take orders on a first come basis.  You will find email links thru the site with which you can contact us. 

 

3) Payment.

After your initial email list is received, we will email you with an invoice including the shipping charges added.  

 

We offer several types of payments including:  Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, Western Union, Personal Checks, and PayPal. 

 

We encourage you to use PayPal as the primary means of payment because we can usually ship your item within 24 hours of the receipt of the payment.  

Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, and Western Union, ship within 24 hours of receipt.  Personal Checks must clear our bank (usually within 7 days) first.

If you have any questions, or concerns with your payments, please feel free to contact us and let us know.  We take pride in the fact that we work "with" our customers.

 


 

Order Confirmation

 

Once we receive your email listing, we will physically check our stock to make sure the books/items are available and that they match the database specs that you have provided to us.  We will then return your email with a completed "Order Form" listing the details including prices and shipping charges.  

As a general rule, we do NOT do backorders.  If we do not have an item that you have requested, we may be able to either drop ship from an associate bookseller or be able to provide you with a bookseller/s who does have the requested item in stock.  

 


 

Postage Rates

 

Postage rates are determined by the size, weight, type of shipping, etc.   Unless otherwise requested, you items will be shipped USPS Media Mail.  If you would like your item to be shipped Priority, or if it is shipping Overseas your rates will increase accordingly.  Regardless, you will be provided with the actual shipping costs on your invoice, before payment is made.  If you have any concerns, please let us know ASAP.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

 

We handle Books (Hardcover & Paperback), Leaflets, Maps, Postcards, and various different types of Paper Ephemera.  

The majority of the titles you see are available for immediate shipping.  We update our database once each day.  You must however keep in mind that all books are subject to prior sale.  Therefore, the sooner we get your order the greater chance that it is in still in stock.  We accept all orders on a "first come, first serve" basis.

We will hold your order for one (1) week, to await your check or money order.  We will remove the book from the database during that time.  After the hold time has expired, the book will be returned to our database and available to the general public.   For this reason we encourage you to pay for your items via Paypal.  

We carefully pack your items in cartons, boxes, or mailing envelopes for shipment.  It is important that you receive the items in the same condition that it left our shelves.  

We guarantee that all our books will be shipped in the same condition that they are represented in our database.  You have 7 days from the time of receipt to contact us of any problems that you may have had in the shipment.  

 

We offer a 30 Day return policy for all "UNOPENED" packages bought from a book sales site.  This return policy must be adhered to strictly as follows:

All "UNOPENED" packages that are late for one reason or another, must be clearly marked: REFUSED - RETURN TO SENDER on the package/s and returned to the post office.  When the package arrives back to us, we will then initiate a full refund thru their respective systems.

 

We must authorize ANY and ALL other types of returns.  You will be provided with return documentation to place in the return shipment.  The buyer is responsible for the return of the shipment unless it is a result of our internal error.  

We generally accept returns based on the following:  1) Shipped the wrong book.  2) Item received was not as described in the database.  3) Item was damaged in shipment.  

All other returns will be handled individually.  

We will NOT accept any returns WITHOUT the proper documentation. 

 

Return documentation will have a return address and information on it.  All Returned items will go to:

Yes.  Currently we do accept most major credit cards.  We do not accept Discover Card.  Although, we do request that if you do We also accept Cashiers Checks, Personal Checks, Money Orders, and PayPal. 

We encourage you to use PayPal as the primary means of payment because we can usually ship your item within 24 hours of the receipt of the payment.  And they provide you with the safest way of processing your credit card information without sending us the credit card info.

Credit Cards based on banks outside of the US will not be accepted.

 

This is determined by the shipping method that you request.  We can ship via USPS, and UPS.  Times can range from Next Day, to as long as 5 weeks for USPS (Book Rate) Media Mail.

Yes.  We currently ship to most countries, within the limitations of the USPS, or UPS shipping restrictions.  Please ask us before your destination is determined.

We do not restrict shipping locations.  We will ship to anyone that you designate to us when processing your order.  We can also create gift packing slips (Packing slips without prices) for those shipments if you so request.

We can gift wrap your items for a small added cost.  We are not here to make any money on gift wrapping, but do realize the added benefit that our customers may wish.  Therefore we do charge you an added $2.00 USD flat rate for each gift wrapped shipment.   We do NOT maintain any specific type of holiday paper for the gift wrap.  You must give us an idea of what type you would be needing.   IE. Christmas, Birthday Female, Birthday Male, Birthday Child, American Holiday, etc..  We try to keep an inventory of different types on hand at all times.  

We do NOT give out your personal information, email address, or any other type of personal information to anyone.  No exceptions.

You will occasionally receive a newsletter of specials that we are running.  If you do not wish to receive this, you simply need to notify us and we will remove you from that mailing list.  Please be patient, it can sometimes take up to 5 business days to get you deleted from the listing.
